Gisel and John moved to Chicago this past summer for what they thought would be a short stay. “Probably only until the end of the summer,” John would say when asked how they would be here. The summer came and went and John and Gisel were still in Chicago. So come November they not only wanted to document their new love for this wonderful city, but also their love!
Don’t you just love the Chicago skyline?
We decided that it was warm enough to stay at Oak Street beach and I’m so glad we did:
Yes, Chicago has a few “beaches”.. I had no idea either!
Gisel, I loove your boots! John, you’re shoes are pretty classy too!
Speaking of shoes, John was barely walking around on an almost broken toe. I was so impressed!
How sweet are they?!
Then we headed over to Millennium Park for some more fall shots:
Of course we stopped at the bean! Interesting fact: The bean was originally called “Cloud Gate” but was shortly nicknamed the “Bean” since it looks like, you guessed it, a kidney bean!
I love this shot of them crossing the street downtown:
Love the Chicago river in the background:
John’s favorite image and probably mine too:
Gisel and John, it was so fun spending an afternoon with the two of you! You couldn’t have picked a better city to live in! For now at least. I recommend lots of snuggling to stay warm this winter! (:
Happy Monday!
