It was the first day of a new semester. Jae walked into a classroom full of anatomy students, and later Courteney would too. Courteney spotted Jae and thought, he’s really cute.. too cute not to talk to! So she asked him for a pencil (or something clever like that!) and they started talking. Soon they discovered that they had both lived in Las Vegas at the same time a few years ago, and they both had the same major. Neither could tell if this was merely a coincidence or fate. Jae, who had been smitten by Courteney’s smarts and beautiful smile, decided to ask her on a date. And then they kept dating, and dating, and eventually dating long distance. After just a few months apart Jae knew he needed to see her smile every day. So after a long plane ride he got down on one knee and proposed to the girl he met in Anatomy class. She sad yes!
Courteney started the day off right with a beautiful pair of Steve Madden heels:
Courteney and Jae were married in the Las Vegas LDS Temple which doesn’t allow photography during the ceremony. The ceremony must have been great because they came out incredibly happy to be married!
Family and friends flew in from all over the United States to share their special day:
..and more cute shoes!
After the temple we went to Red Rock Canyon to take a few more pictures:
Beautiful flowers, beautiful couple.
A quick picture of Courteney before the reception started:
The reception was beautiful! So many pink and green details:
The best pink lemonade I’ve ever tasted:
Cute tags to remember which jar is yours!
Pink flowers and dozens of cake balls home made by Courteney’s mother:
Even the dessert table was full of pink!
I fell in love with their wedding cake and the love birds on top!
The best part was the tree stump that had their initials carved into the side:
Sparkling cupcakes made their cake table complete.
One of the many birds found at their reception.
Courteney and Jae, thank you for letting me be a part of a such a beautiful day! I loved sharing so much of your wedding day with you and your families. I want you both to know that even though not everything in life is perfect, you are perfect together. Your love, coupled with your faith, will get you through anything life throws your way.
